Amanda Bowman

Amanda is a former collegiate softball player and has been coaching softball for 10 years. She was a four year varsity starter at McCutcheon High School before attending IUPUI on a softball scholarship where she started 90% of the games all four years. A few years after college she was asked to coach an 8u travel team and has been coaching ever since. She began coaching at McCutcheon 4 years ago coaching one year at JV and has been with the varsity the past 3 years. Her primary position was infield but she also caught and has been giving catching lessons for the past 5 years. She likes to find new ways and drills to get the best out of any catcher in blocking, framing, and throwing. While catching is her specialty, she also gives hitting lessons for softball, and defensive lessons.
